What are our prices?
When do I pay?
Upon acceptance of our assessment of your current CV, we will provide you with our invoice for payment and once proof of payment has been received, draft 1 of your updated CV will be sent to you for your consideration. For custom solutions, we require an upfront payment of 50% upon acceptance of our quotation and the balance upon completion of the instruction.
Why do I have to pay upfront?
Our aim is to make all our clients, “clients for life” as our clients frequently come back to us for further work and services. Therefore, having to chase a client for payment strains the client-service provider relationship and having to deal with non-payment results in us having to incur costs and subsequently having to raise the fees for our services.
Why do the prices of our CV’s and custom solutions differ?
Our prices vary depending on the amount of research and drafting involved in preparing a CV for a particular career level. A Graduate CV will, for instance, take a lot less research and drafting than an Executive CV. Similarly, our prices vary in respect of our custom solutions – depending on the amount of words/pages.
What format(s) will my new CV be in and will I be able to edit it?
Your new CV will be fully editable as it will be send to you in word and .pdf formats.
How long does the service take?
We aim for a 24 – 48 hour response time for all enquiries / emails / feedback received; a 48-hour turnaround on assessments and three business days for preparing a first draft of your CV. The timeline for our custom solutions will be agreed upfront with the client.
Do I need to come to your offices?
No. We work primarily over the internet and via email or telephone (if necessary), which obviates the need to come to our offices.
Do you keep my CV on record for future changes or if I lose my electronic CV?
Yes. We keep your details as well as your items purchased, be that CV solutions or custom solutions, on our database indefinitely.
What are the advantages of a professionally prepared CV?
A professionally written CV gives you the advantage of a CV being prepared by writers who are experts in the recruitment industry and industry terms as well as with grammar, spelling, and punctuation. A professionally prepared CV should contain the keywords that HR managers and recruiters need to see when scanning through the thousands of CV’s received each week. With that said, would you even consider writing your own CV when your career could centre on this critical document?
Will a professionally prepared CV guarantee me a job?
No. A professionally prepared CV will market you more effectively than a “homemade” CV could and as such maximise your chances of securing an interview. However, securing a final offer is ultimately dependent on inter alia your performance at the interview.
What are the advantages of professional editing?
Peer editing is a great opportunity to help fellow writers reach their full potential. Poor language is one of the top reasons why articles are rejected and one of the top reasons complained about by supervisors. Having your article or paper corrected for language errors will allow reviewers/supervisors to focus on the quality of your research rather than your language skills.
